- First of all you need to jump into the Software Reporter Tool directory. To do so, you can copy the following code and paste it in the Windows File Explorer. You can also paste it in Run dialogue box to open the directory.

- In this directory, you will see version number. You need to click on the version number and then right click on Software_Reporter_Tool. Click on Properties tab to see it’s properties.
- Once Properties pop up gets open, click on the Security tab and go to Advanced. In this advanced tab, you will see Disable Inheritance button. Click on this button.
- A further pop up box will appear to select the options that you want to remove from inherited properties.
- Select Remove all inherited permission from this object and hit Apply button and Ok to save the changes. And you’re done..!
If you ever wanted to turn the chrome reporter tool back on then you can do the same to enable it. Just select Enable Inheritance this time instead of choosing Disable Inheritance. That’s all you need to turn it back on.
